Surgical Fertility Treatments

01

Our Surgical Approach

Many fertility issues in both men and women can be effectively treated with surgery. These are often structural problems you may have been born with or conditions that have developed over time, like endometriosis or fibroids. We work closely with you to understand the pros and cons of each treatment, ensuring we find the best and most effective path forward for your unique situation.

For women, we primarily use two minimally invasive surgical techniques.

02

Hysteroscopy

This procedure allows us to use a small, lighted camera to look inside your uterus. It’s a great tool for both diagnosing and treating issues like polyps and small fibroids, which we can often remove at the same time.

03

Laparoscopy

This is a minimally invasive surgery where we make a small incision in your abdomen to insert a camera and surgical instruments. We use this to get a clear view of your reproductive organs—including your ovaries, fallopian tubes, and uterus—and correct issues like endometriosis or pelvic adhesions.

for women

Conditions We Treat with Surgery

Our specialists use surgery to address a wide range of issues. The goal is to correct the problem so you can have the best possible chance of conceiving, sometimes without further treatment. Common conditions we treat for women include:

Fallopian Tube Issues

Whether it’s a blockage, scar tissue, or a previous tubal ligation, surgery can often repair or clear the fallopian tubes to allow for fertilization and implantation.

Endometriosis

We can use a conservative laparoscopic approach to carefully remove endometrial tissue that has grown outside the uterus, helping to increase your chances of pregnancy.

Uterine Fibroids and Polyps

These common growths can interfere with a fertilized egg’s ability to implant. We offer procedures like a myomectomy to remove them while preserving the healthy parts of your uterus.

Pelvic Adhesions

These common growths can interfere with a fertilized egg’s ability to implant. We offer procedures like a myomectomy to remove them while preserving the healthy parts of your uterus.

for men

Conditions We Treat with Surgery

Common conditions we treat for men include:

Vasectomy Reversal

A vasovasostomy can reconnect the vas deferens, allowing sperm to once again enter the seminal fluid.

Sperm Retrieval

If there’s a structural issue preventing sperm from being released, our partners can perform a surgical procedure to retrieve sperm directly.

Varicocelectomy

This surgery addresses varicocele, or enlarged veins in the scrotum, which can impact sperm health. We remove the enlarged veins to restore proper blood flow.
